This is an initiative to bring 'Komputer beantrage' page from the main site to the English variant site. This is the minimum changes to make sure that URLs keep their referential integrity.

Request a computer
You have to answer a few questions so that we can give you a computer. We can then check the application and get back to you.
Who do you need the computer for?
- Private for me or my family
- For a non-profit organization {.form-choices}
All data is of course processed protected.
Information and frequently asked questions
It is very easy to get a computer from us. Normally it runs in three steps:
- You submit a request via the contact form. (above on this page)
- We will arrange an appointment with you to collect the device. If no device is directly is available, we will put you on our waiting list.
- You will receive a computer from us on the agreed date.
Who gets a computer?
All persons who can present one of the following documents:
- a certificate of unemployment benefit (Arbeitslosengeldbescheinigung, ALG I)
- certificate of citizen's allowance (Bürgergeld, formerly ALG II / Hartz IV)
- a notice of approval (Bewilligungsbescheid, for refugees)
- certificates from the social welfare office, debt counseling or job center
- certificate from a recognized provider (e.g. Caritas, Diakonie, youth welfare facilities)
- BAföG certificate
- pension certificate
- basic income support certificate
- wage statement (Lohnbescheid, maximum of 5 times the standard rate)
We also donate PCs to organizations that themselves have charitable or benevolent purposes. or charitable purposes. In this case, please contact us via the link above and we will find a suitable solution together.
How do I submit an application?

How long does it take?
We process all requests in order. If we receive a large number of applications applications come in, the processing time may well take a few months. No.
Why don't you send out computers?
We are only a few volunteers working on the project. Currently we have no capacity to send computers by post.
Is there a warranty on the devices?
No. These are used computers and we do not offer a warranty.
Which operating system is installed on the computers?
Linux Mint is installed on all our devices. is installed. There is a program for writing (LibreOffice) and for the Internet (Firefox). There are also many other free software.
